Parasites
Every living being has parasites. With previous generations this was generally addressed every spring by ingesting turpentine. Today we have become so “sophisticated”, that we don’t address this problem much anymore and make our body a comfortable home for the parasites. It can cause many health problems as well as gut problems. We see people with serious cramping, diarrhea and more who had been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, IBS and many more conditions.
The CDC states that more than 300,000 people living in the United States are infected with Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite that causes Chagas disease; at least 14 percent of the U.S. population has been exposed to Toxocara, the parasite that causes toxocariasis; more than 60 million people in the United States are chronically infected with Toxoplasma gondii, the parasite that causes toxoplasmosis; and the Trichomonas parasite affects more than 3.7 million people in the United States. This great formula is wonderfully anti-parasitic: Black Walnut: One of the key benefits of Black Walnut Hulls are their ability to expel various kinds of worms and parasites that live in your body. Often making an appearance in parasite cleanses, Black Walnut Hulls contain juglandin, juglone and juglandic acids as well as tannins and organic iodine.
It is thought that the high tannin content is responsible for the anti-parasitic properties of Black Walnut, helping to eliminate microbes from the body. The high tannin and juglone content is also thought to oxygenate the blood which can kill parasites and working as a laxative, it expels parasites as part of its cleansing action.
The hulls of the Black Walnut are also powerfully anti-fungal, making them a potential Candida killer that may be even more effective than their pharmaceutical counterparts. Candida is an overgrowth Candida fungus, which can actually weaken the walls of the intestine, known as “Leaky Gut Syndrome” and release toxins into the bloodstream. This plays havoc with the immune system and can manifest in a whole range of baffling symptoms from depression to allergies and more. It is also effective against Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) – a bacteria that is responsible for the majority of ulcers and stomach cancer.
It is a good source of iodine and as such beneficial to stimulate thyroid function. It may be used for menstrual dysfunction, skin problems like eczema and psoriasis.
A research team at the University of Missouri found like walnut to possess anti-cancer properties as reported in the journal of pharmaceutical sciences.
It is believed that the powder can be used to clean teeth and tighten gums and that the liquid is used to rebuild to the enamel and white and teeth if left on teeth overnight.
Quassia Wood, helps in reducing fever caused due to the bite of malarial parasite. It prevents malaria infections due to its insect repellent properties. It is used externally against lice, thread worms, and other parasites.
Clove Bud has various biological activities such as antibacterial, anti-fungal, antioxidant and insecticidal properties. The organs of the body which are most affected when consuming cloves are the kidney, spleen and stomach. Cloves contain powerful antimicrobial agents that travel through the bloodstream, killing microscopic parasites and parasitic larvae and eggs. Cloves are tremendously effective in killing malaria, tuberculosis, cholera, scabies and other parasites, viruses, bacteria and fungi including Candida. Cloves are also good for a lot of parasite symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, gas, diarrhea, dizziness, and low blood pressure. This makes clove an important ingredient in a parasite cleanse.
Garlic has been used for thousands of years to not only spice up dishes but to also treat parasitic infection, as published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Mice treated with both allicin and garlic extract were found to have had declines in parasite population, and reduced biomarkers for liver fibrosis and pro-inflammatory cytokines. It was noted the results were comparable to praziquantel without the harmful side effects. Garlic and allicin were concluded by the researchers to be able to treat schistosomiasis due to its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties.
A comparison lab study discovered that yellow dock extract, from both the root and leaves, also has varying degrees of antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-parasitic effects. It should be noted that the root extract was more effective in fighting against microbes than the leaf extract. Another lab study showed that yellow dock extract is toxic to roundworms, a common parasite. Fennel can also be effective against worms and parasites due to the volatile oil anethole which also gives fennel its characteristic anise flavor.
Wormwood increases the digestive fluids and bile, enhances liver function, promotes appetite, induces perspiration, expels worms, and acts as an antibiotic and astringent. It contains azulenes which are anti-inflammatory and sesquiterpene lactones, which are potent insecticidal agents. It is highly regarded for bloating, amenorrhea, anemia, dysentery, flatulence, gallbladder/liver problems, gastritis, insect bites, intestinal parasites, poor appetite, rheumatism, sluggish digestion, stomach ulcers and swelling. It has been associated with many benefits, such as alleviating pain and inflammation and fighting oxidative stress and parasitic infections. It is a great herb to use in combination with other anti-parasitic herbs. Do not use during pregnancy.
